At Little Sports Heroes, we bring together passion, energy, and quality to deliver a program that does more than just teach sports — it helps build confidence, emotional resilience, and a strong sense of identity in every child.

The Little Sports Heroes program is designed to introduce children to a variety of sports in a fun and supportive environment. While exploring different games and activities, kids also learn essential ball skills and take part in a basic fitness program that keeps them moving, laughing, and building healthy habits along the way.

Our weekly sports incursion program is designed to run seamlessly in any childcare setting, indoors or outdoors. With a minimum of two coaches at every session, we provide a dynamic mix of sports, games, and engaging activities throughout the year. The program is thoughtfully tailored to suit children from as young as 12 months through to kindergarten age, ensuring every stage of early development is supported.

Built around the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework, each sport is explored over three to four weeks to support knowledge retention through repetition — all while keeping things fresh, fun, and exciting. As the year progresses, we revisit certain sports to reinforce learning and gently introduce more complexity, allowing children to grow in confidence and ability at their own pace.

Recognising that every child is unique and responds differently, we keep our group sizes small to ensure individual attention and personalised support. This approach allows every child to feel seen, encouraged, and empowered to develop their skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

We consider LSH (Little Sports Heroes) as an extension of your Childcare Services. We aim to cater our programming to each Service’s needs, wants, values and ethics. Our vision is to not only provide each Service’s children with a brilliant sports program, but to support the growth of each individual child as a whole.

As such, our staff will be available for centre open days, parent information nights and any fundraising or marketing events free of charge.

Our weekly sports incursions are included in childcare fees and are inclusive to all children. We do not believe in parent-paid programs, as every child deserves the opportunity to play sport regardless of the circumstances. Our team caters to any weather conditions, with both inside and outside sessions designed for all four seasons.

We recognise that every child is unique, which is why our program is designed to be flexible and age-appropriate, catering to individual needs. By providing a minimum of two coaches at every session, we're able to offer one-on-one support where needed, while still maintaining the benefits of a small group environment. This approach ensures every child feels seen, supported, and set up for success.

Our program is developed in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework and proudly endorsed by a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. It’s thoughtfully crafted to help children manage the challenges of change and transition, while building essential life skills like emotional resilience, confidence, and independence. We aim to inspire every child to feel like a true sporting hero—capable of taking on any challenge that comes their way.

Our work goes beyond the session itself. We actively engage with local councils, contribute to community events, and support a range of fundraisers, reinforcing our commitment to the wellbeing and development of children both on and off the field.

We Are Growing!

"George and the team have been amazing, our centre has been using them for at least 5 years and cannot fault them. The engagement with all ages of children and programs provided are always linked to the EYLF."
